A very collectible edition of J.C. Ryle’s work. It is called Facts and Men; “Being pages from English Church History, some Biographical and some Historical, between 1553 and 1683.” This book is the original volume that would become Light From Old times, which is still in print—but these editions with the earlier title are much more scarce. The most desirable volumes to be collected are, as a general rule, those published by William Hunt and Co. This 1882 second edition is an early copy of the work by the original publisher. This is a great addition to a library for a Ryle collector.

CONDITION
Book is in Good+/Very Good condition for its age. Light foxing present. Tear and name on front end page, but otherwise excellently clean throughout. Volume appears to be completely free of any markings throughout. Boards are faded on and around spine, which is very consistent with cloth of this age that were stored on bookshelves and received some sunlight, etc., over 150 years.
