This communion tray was used by Spurgeon’s College for many decades, being acquired after the school’s closing in 2025.
It was produced by Townshends of Birmingham, UK, likely produced sometime toward the end of the firm’s production of such goods in the 1920’s; some identical trays are marked with a 1913 production date, but this one does not have the date stamped.
The tray is likely electroplated aluminum, and would make a wonderful display piece or would find great use being properly used for communion services once again.
